Time / Day / Holiday Restrictions:
1.Special permits (oversize or overweight) are subject to holiday restrictions. No travel during certain holidays, including New Year’s, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas, etc. Travel may also be restricted starting at noon the day before a holiday.
2.Commuter hour restrictions: Some state highway sections are off‑limits during peak morning/evening traffic hours for vehicles under special permits.
3.Nighttime movement: Movement under permit is generally allowed only during daylight (from ~30 minutes before sunrise to ~30 minutes after sunset). If the load/vehicle doesn’t exceed certain dimensions (for example ≤ width, height, and length thresholds) and the permit specifically allows night movement, then it can travel at night.
